Epoke A/S acquires Hydromann

Epoke has acquired Hydromann, which manufactures equipment for winter service.

Hydromann is an international-orientated company, which primarily manufactures and sells small salt spreaders, snow blowers and snow ploughs using the brand names Snowline and Westbjörn. The company, which is based in Lem next to Ringkøbing, is a supplier to Vestas Aircoil, and has a turnover of DKK 35 million.

Epoke is located in Askov and manufactures large high-tech salt spreaders, which are sold all over the world, and includes Epoke's in-house developed GPS controlled spreading systems. The company employs 165 people in Denmark and Germany and is owned by Erhvervsinvest.

Kristian Olsen, Epoke CEO:

"We are pleased and proud that Vestas Aircoil and Genua chose to sell Hydromann to Epoke. Hydromann is an attractive company with high-quality products that compliment Epoke's product range really well. We look forward to further developing and integrating the two companies."

By acquiring Hydromann, Epoke wished to further develop the company's position internationally, and realise synergies within development, production and sales.

Steen Brinch Gildenpfennig, CEO Vestas Aircoil:

"The synergies between Vestas Aircoil’s other business and Hydromann are limited, which was the basis for our decision to sell the operation. It has been important for us that Hydromann's new owner will continue to operate and further develop the company. We believe that Erhvervsinvest and Epoke are a good fit."
